Ravensnap launches with a goal that is bigger than just business

COLUMBIA, MO - It was the stillbirth of her daughter last summer that inspired Brenna Naufel to launch, an online marketplace for unique and trendy accessories. With a strong desire to help children suffering from neglect and abuse, Brenna partnered with One Simple Wish to donate 50% of Ravensnap’s net profit to help fulfill wishes of children in foster care.

Ravensnap’s website features earrings and necklaces that are all priced under $20.

“After losing my daughter Maia and grieving the lost opportunity to shower her with my love, I was inspired to help children who have not been cared for and loved the way they deserve to be. It breaks my heart to consider what these children go through,” said Brenna.

The stillbirth of her daughter wasn’t the only loss Brenna faced. Prior to the stillbirth she suffered a miscarriage. Determined to add to her family (she has one four-year-old son), she and her husband continued to try. Each pregnancy was met with more loss. In November of last year, she had another miscarriage which was then followed by the stillbirths of twin boys.

“That’s five babies in a year and a half,” said Brenna. “I praise God for getting us through and for helping me persevere to get this business off the ground. I have big hopes that it will bless many children.” She also hopes it will allow her to spend more time with her family and potentially pursue adoption from the foster care system in the future.

As for Ravensnap, she brings her own eclectic style to the mix and plans to continue to add many more products as the company grows. Her interest in the products she offers originated from a search for school and team-related earrings that were more minimalistic. “So much of the jewelry sold in this realm has a ton of bling, and that’s just not me.” Among its many and varied style offerings, Ravensnap has multiple options for those who are headed to casual gatherings, work, formal affairs or to football or baseball games.

And best of all, every purchase helps fulfill a wish of a child in foster care.
